Edwards as well as O'Neil Included in Wolves Head Coach Contenders

Rob Edwards along with Gary O'Neil are two of the early names under consideration to succeed the former manager as head coach of Wolves.

The previous coach was sacked on Sunday following the team's ten-game without a victory beginning to the top-flight season.

Furthermore Edwards and O'Neil - each of whom have historic links to the team - are among the names to be evaluated by the club leadership.

Edwards is currently at another club, which would pose a potential hurdle to his hiring at Wolves' stadium.

However the ex- Luton Town manager - who made more than 100 of games for the club during his time as a player - is considered a strong contender for the vacancy.

The 42-year-old is reportedly enjoys support from the Wolves board as they start the search of hiring a fresh manager.

O'Neil is additionally appearing as a surprise candidate, even though he would be a shock appointment given he was sacked by the club in the previous winter.

The ex- West Ham United midfielder is out of work which means Wolves would not be required to provide any compensation.
