David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.

The comedian

Best-selling young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.

A spokesman for the publisher said: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women.

The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Some of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.

He has published over four dozen titles combined, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.

Television and Literature

His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.

The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
